Transfer into NCUS TEC
NCUS TEC recognizes that students may have completed coursework at other institutions. Transfer credit requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis and must meet the institution’s transfer credit requirements.
General Guidelines
To be considered for transfer credit, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Credits must have been earned at an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and/or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
- Coursework completed at foreign institutions must be evaluated by a recognized credential evaluation service to determine equivalency. The applicant is responsible for all evaluation costs.
- Official transcripts must be sent directly to NCUS TEC from the institution where the coursework was completed.
- Course descriptions, catalogs, or syllabi from the time the coursework was completed must be provided.
- A minimum grade of B (3.0 GPA equivalent) must have been earned in each course.
- Courses graded on a pass/fail basis are not eligible for transfer.
- Students may be required to successfully complete a written and/or practical assessment related to the course content.
- Coursework completed more than three years prior to enrollment is not eligible for transfer.
- Transfer credit evaluations must be completed prior to enrollment.
- Submission of all required documentation is the responsibility of the student.
Note: The Campus Director makes the final determination regarding the acceptance of transfer credits.
Maximum Transfer Credit
Students may transfer up to 50% of the total program requirements through approved transfer credit.
